BODYbasics offers a wide variety of classes for everyone from beginners to the more advanced. Whether it's Zumba, Kettles or Fitsteps, you're sure to find a fun and challenging workout that's appropriate for your level of fitness.  More information about our Zumba classes in Frome can be found here.

dance fitness classes

Zumba® Fitness: it's exercise in disguise! The world's favourite dance fitness programme! (Monday - Saturday, all locations, click here for Frome)


Clubbercise: Bringing the nightout to your workout, with music from the 90's to the 00's, this class is held with real party atmosphere! turn down the white lights, on go the disco lights, and the dancing begins. Hand held glowsticks are used to enhance the way you use your arms, giving a better toning effect.  This class is serious about delivering the FUN!  (Wednesdays, 7.30pm and Fridays 7pm)


FITSTEPS. Ballroom and Latin inspired dance fitness originally designed and choreographed by two of the UK's best loved professional dancers - Ian Waite and Natalie Lowe from the BBC's Strictly Come Dancing show. Classes are Monday mornings and Tuesday and Friday evenings.


Mature Movers:  A class for active older adults who want to keep fit and maintain a healthy lifestyle. specifically chosen exercise routines involving some light handweights, light aerobics and gentle conditioning exercises are just the ticket!    (Tuesday, Frome)


Zumba® Gold: perfect for those new to exercise, out of condition, or limited in coordination or mobility  (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, Frome, Community)

Zumba® Kids: a great, fun class for kids aged 4 - 12 (Wednesday, Thursday, Frome)


 BOOGIE WONDERLAND is a programme entirely of our own creation made especially for the 7-13 year olds who love to dance, play the occassional game and have fun in a safe friendly environment.

strength and stamina classes

Bums Legs & Tums: (Monday, Frome)

Mature Movers:   (Tuesday, Frome)  appropriately set exercise to build and maintain strength and flexibility.

Kettlercise®: a demanding class that uses a light weight to tone the muscles

(Monday, 6pm Oakfield, Wednesday 9.30am Thursday 6.15pm and Friday 9.30am all at BODYbasics Studio)

BOOGIE Bounce - using mini trampolines with a handle for added security and stability these classes are fast and fun and BOUNCY!  Burn calories more quickly and see a real change in your physique.
